Young Melksham is a small charity based in the market town of Melksham in Wiltshire. We rely on a small staff team and the amazing collective of volunteers to deliver the wide range of services we offer.
We are funded entirely by grants and donations along with our own efforts to pay for our services and always welcome any contributions. We are also always looking for new volunteers to join our team to help grow and develop our offer.
Young Melksham is volunteer-led and relies on the expertise and commitment of our dedicated Volunteers. Our Volunteers are key members of our staff group providing vital front-line services to young people. There are a number of ways that children, young people and adults can volunteer at Young Melksham:
Children and young people can get involved in helping Young Melksham continue to develop its services, interview staff, help in fundraising and work with us to improve our publicity, including via our Participation project.
Anyone over 18 who is interested in working with young people can volunteer as:
Assistant Youth Workers (helping our at our youth clubs, working with young people)
Minibus Drivers (we run a minibus to help people without transport to attend the club)
Facilities Management (we are always looking for people who can help us maintain and run The Canberra Centre)
